December

December is always a very busy month, in many sense.

Firstly, it is really a month to consolidate what has been or not been
done in the last 11 months of the year.
It is the time of the year to take stock of my personal life, in all different aspects,
to see how much have i grown, or detoriated. With these personal reflections,
it sets the basis to start to plan and set the goals and visions for the coming year.

I believe, 2011 is going to be a GREAT year.
Many new and exciting things are going to take place. I proclaim it with faith.

Secondly, usually December, there are lots of birthdays and lots of weddings.. dun ask me why.
Flipped my planner today and tried to note down all the events coming up and my oh my!
every weekend in the month of December is fully packed to the brim.
Not a single weekend is wasted.
Good job.

But it also means....... FUN FUN FUN!!!!!

Last but not least, December is really like a festive month.. in the sense.
Because it is XMAS!!!
I love xmas, simply because it is a season of giving and feasting
and catching up with friends that sometimes, have not met for the entire year.

This year, we are going to have xmas in our new house.
Reckon quite a lot of the gatherings are going to be held at our place,
treat it as a gathering and also, some groups of friends still have not been invited to our house.
So might as well.
Since we have plenty of mirrors and a huge glass door in the house, we decided to do something different this year.

Gerald suggested that we do something like what starbucks will do.

And so , last sunday, we went to got our props!
A set of stencils and a bottle of spray that is supposedly easy to clean off with just warm water!! :-) Tada!!

See if this weekend has got some time to experiment it. :D

Oh, i so heart December!!!! 000000......

Curse the fats!

Curse the fats!!!

Exploring ways to lose the fats in my body.....
no longer sure whether are they part of my pregnancy fats, or just stubborn fats that are retaining in my body....

seeing other mummies who regain their slim and beautiful bodies after giving birth, makes me envious.

my friend taught me, to curse the fats every day.... for her it works!
Of cos, got to do some changes to the diet too lah....
sounds funny,, but ya, i am going to try it!!=)))

If you know of any other ways to get rid of those fats, please share with me ok? :-)

random

Whenever i feel very frustrated, i know my best medicine is to look through my picture folder and look at my son's photos.
His smile and cheekiness, never fails to bring a smile to me and makes me forget all the frustrations that i am having.
Bible says, children are a blessing from God. I totally agree with this statement and i cannot understand why any man/woman can dislike children....
See how happy he is when he gets to play...... :)))

Sometimes, i wish Justin will grow up slower, so that i can enjoy him much more.
Guilty that I don't spend much time with him.
Being a working mum myself, thats the dilemna i believe that every working mum will go through in their hearts, trying to balance out career with family. But I believe, my God will give me the grace to balance that out.. not by my own strength but by his strength. =)
Yet, i know that i will not survive long as a stay home mum... i may just go crazy. Haha.
Oh man... how i wish i can go back and hug my son now...........

I know procrastination is bad. Double-mindedness is worst.
Yet many times, i succumb to both of them.
Blame it on laziness or put it in a nice way, I think, i am just trying to juggle everything on my plate, and hoping and praying that I am handle all equally well, that I will be able to allocate a share of my time to every thing i want to do.
But apparently, reality is harsh.
Whether i like it or not, its a fact that there is only 24 hours a day. And thats all i have.
So i have to make a decision what are my priorities and work out something.
Otherwise, if this goes on, everything is going to be messy and messed up, like a plate of Rojak.
O God,

I ask for a clear mind, to be able to sort out my life clearly and properly.
Give me grace, grace, grace, wisdom and wisdom and wisdom.
I don't want to

Reading the book of James this morning, and this verse was apt for me:

4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
But One thing i know for sure, no matter what happens, God is still first in my life.
YOUR LOVE IS HIGHER
HIGHER THAN THE HEAVEN
YOUR MERCY’S DEEPER
DEEPER THAN THE EARTH
YOUR GRACE IS WIDER
WIDER THAN THE OCEAN
I WILL NEVER LET YOU GO
NEVER EVER LET YOU GO

Justin 1st bday party.

Baby Justin turns 1 year old about 3 weeks ago.
Big thank you to Enrique, who volunteered him service and willingly came to help me to take the pictures on that day, as i was so busy and would not have time to take such beautiful pictures for memory sake.

Have so many pictures that are so well taken.... think will upload the rest on FB tonight.

Justin's birthday cake and cupcakes! Mummy is so satisfied with the cakes,
because most guests all have very good feedback about the cake.
Not as sweet as expected even though the chocolate pound cake within is extremely rich. Thumbsup! (http://ovencreations.blogspot.com/)

Trying to take a group picture with all the children.
According to my photographer, its the most chaotic phototaking session he has seen, because on one hand,
every kid was trying to lay their hands on the cake.
On the other hand, it is not easy to get all the kids to look at the camera at the same time...
just look at the star of the day..... after about 5 tries, this is almost one of the better picture taken.

Finally a decent family photo, though baby looks a bit grouchy because he was hot and sleepy.

Justin's grandparents and all of daddy's relatives..

Justin's grandparents and mummy's relatives

Cell group uncles and aunties...

Justin says: are we done?

And so, Justin would like to thank all the uncles and aunties for your generosity and love,
for blessing him with so many ang pows and toys and gifts...

Most imptly, hope everyone who came enjoyed themselves. :-)

The first business trip Part 1

Having been only in this company for 1 month or so, i was blessed to be given a chance to go for a training in Taipei. This is my very first business trip alone, and frankly speaking, after bad experience in the previous company, where 2 business trips were given a miss because of my pregnancy and thereafter, many things happened and all these are bad history and not worth mentioning.

Many people tell me that I am very fortunate that i get to travel even during my probation period. I say, this is truly the grace and favour of God. In fact, this job itself, is a great miracle of the hand of God and i will never be thankful enough for what God has done for me.

So, while i was very excited that I would be going for the business trip, i was feeling a bit worried and afraid. This is the first time that i will be travellin overseas alone, without my husband, and also the first time that I am going to be separated from my baby. I had so many worries and concerns. But thankfully, i have very supportive hubby and parents and parents-in-law, who supported me all the way and ensure that i could go in peace. Mummy taking the day shift and mother in law takin the night shift to look after baby justin, ensurin that he was well taken of (of cos, he still lost weight when i came back, cos he could not sleep well and eat well, especially towards the end of the week).

And so, there i went, emabarked on my first business trip. I love SQ flights!! Make my 4hr30 mins journey so much more bearable, even though it was a super full flight.

When I reached the hotel, it was already 6plus, and this lovely message greeted me on the tv:

So i quickly went to join the rest who were at the restaurant for the dinner, and had a sumptious buffet spread. Pretty hungry and time to get to know the rest, so did not take much photos.
After dinner, i walked around the hotel, as the temperature was really nice... was ard 21 degrees that night..... :-)))
And i found a macdonald just round the corner....... so i walked in and guess what...... the small fries only cost ard S$1!! Cheap!!!
So i could not resist and bought a small pack and brought it back to the hotel.... kekekekekeke....
Feels like home once again! :-)

Next morning, we started our day 1 training. It was a long session and almost everythin that the trainer talked about, was new to me. So I was literally like a sponge, tryin to absorb as much things as I could.
Time passes quickly and soon it was time for dinner again!
The taiwan colleagues arrange for a nice and cosy dinner place @ Taipei main station U-Square. Check out the pictures below:
The team that went for dinner:
I think the ceiling lights add a great touch to the overall ambience:
time to chill out after a long day.

The beer supposed to be nice!! They have about 10 over types of beers

The food items unwrap:
Item 1: Beef, bacon and ham platter

Item 2: Pork knuckle: One of the nicest dish

Item 3: Beer!

Item 4: Pizza

Item 5: Chicken drumlets

Item 6: Cold squid

Taking the metro back to the hotel! I realise we all love to take pics!! :-)

To be continued.....

Happy Birthday, Baby!

this is a post-dated post, as I was simply so overwhelmed for the past few days.

Baby Justin turned 1 year old last sat!

How time flies..... one year ago, he was still in my stomach and we can still recall so vividly every single detail, from the time my water bag broked at 4am and the entire process that lasted for a total of 18hrs altogether before he decided to come into this world.
And for the past 12 months, this little one has brought us much joy... something that i feel is totally worth exchanging for all for the sleepless nights....
Every milestone that Baby Justin makes, I can say, I am so proud and happy!!
Baby,
Mummy and Daddy love u so much!! U are the Precious of our lives.
We pray that you will indeed grow up to be a fine young man. Most importantly, like your name, you will be just and righteous, love and fear God, love your parents and family. :-)
'
P.S. Special thanks to Enrique, who willingly sacrificed his time to help us take lots of photos that day, to capture all the lovely memories that took place during the 4 hours of party, at no fee. All the photos are so good that I am still trying to sieve out what to post on fb.
Really appreciate your works and your love, my friend. :-)

First Business trip after i give birth

This is the second time that I am on official business trip.

And the first time that I am going away from my baby after he is born.

Not an easy decision to decide to go. But thankfully, I am blessed, to have a super encouraging husband, fully supportive mother and mother in law, who are taking shifts to look after baby justin.

Thank God the trip is after his birthday celebration last friday, which will be a separate post altogether.

Feel very fortunate to be able to attend this pricing forum training.

Firstly, lots of people are telling me that its amazing that my bosses actually send me overseas for training, when I am just slightly over 1 month old in this company. Not many people will get this opportunity. Ya... so God is good. :-)

Secondly, on this trip, the rest of the people are actually very experienced people in TI, many of whom have worked for years. In these 4 days, I believe that I am going to learn a lot from them, both from the trainer who has 20 years of experience in TI, and also the rest of the team members as they share their knowledge and questions. Even though most of the time, I felt SUPER lost in the midst of all the acronymns used, but I still thank God for putting me through this training, so that I know what are the areas that i lack knowledge in and where can i get the best help.

Thirdly, i believe that this trip will enable me to get to know more people from the region who are performing the same function as me. Its always good to know more people, cos it just makes work more fun and easier.

Its a fully packed 4 days of training and activities.... doubt i will have much or even any self-activity time. But its still a very fruitful trip.

Looking forward to Friday.. to come back sg, to my precious baby!! :D
