Stressful week

This is the most STRESSFUL week of my life.
Apart from the presentation dry run that was supposed to take place on tuesday,
it was the admission of my precious son to the hospital due to KD.
I think i should dedicate a separate entry for the sickness and ordeal itself.
Now, we are almost like medical expert, knowing so much
about this sickness. From 0% to 95% now.
All started off with his fever last thursday, which we all though was
just the normal children fever, plus his premolar was coming out..
never did we expect that things will become that severe.
on Monday morning, we brought him to NUH emergency again and
there after, he was warded as an emergency KD case.
U can see how miserable he look...
Pic taken before he was warded
showing all the clinical symptoms
(almost like hit jackpot... because he has 100% of all the possible symptoms)
soon, he was pretty sedated

It was really a heart breaking moment, to see him on drips,
so lethargic, dont even have strength to move about or open his
eyes on the first day.
Basically, he was sleeping through the whole day and barely
awake for more than 1 hour that whole day.
Did 4 more blood tests, one echo scan, 2 ECG, 1 X-ray.

And on night 1, doc came and said that he was
NOT responding as well to the treatment as what she expect.
Cos he was running a high fever and heartbeat was
all time high @ 180+.
So they standby ICU and the whole house-team to
be on 24hr standby and red alert.

Second day was worse.
because he was starting to get dehydrated, his lips cracked.
So it was painful even to drink from his bottle.
No choice.
Doc had to add one more drip to him.
HEARTPAIN TO THE MAX!!!!
After my presentation, i chiong to the hospital, and i almost broke down
on the spot, cos he had tubes all over and he was crying like
a small kitten, cos he kind of lost his voice also.
SIGH~~~

Thankfully, most of the rashes all over his body and palms subsided halfway
through the treatment.
By yesterday morning, his treatment was completed.
And praise the Lord.
Baby Justin fought the battle very well.
So far, the only rashes left are those on his legs.
which the doc says will take a couple of weeks to fully subside.

Now, we are waiting for the doctor to give him the report card to go home,
as they are keeping him under 48hrs observations to see if there is
any reactions to the treatment and ensuring the fever does not come back.

I am praying that Baby Justin can go home tomorrow.
I believe he will enjoy himself more when he is at home.
A happier soul also allows him to recover faster and better.
Even though medically, doctor say that he need 4-6 weeks to fUlly recover,
and there is a 3% chance of relapse, and that
this is a long term sickness that need prolonged
followup, i am rejecting and cursing all these in the
name of Jesus!!!
My baby is going to be up on his feet soon and back to his
happy days, crawling and drooling ard!!!
Get well soon baby!!

hi kris

Justin has done very well! Mummy and Daddy must be really tired by now. Do have good rest. Will continue to keep Justin in prayers for full recovery. Take care. :)
