Milestones of Justin

Time passes in the twinkle of an eye.

Baby Justin is now already 17 months 5 days old.

I remember 2 years ago, we were all excited when we discovered that i was pregnant.

and it was a super enjoyable 9 months of pregnancy, minus all the stress at work and all

the eventual hiccups that happened. But throw them all aside.

I was blessed with a cute and handsome son. AHAH.. ya, i am biased.

But i think my son always got this cheeky look that make him soo cute!!

The journey of motherhood is definitely not an easy one.

But i think its an extremely fulfilling experience, that i would never trade for anything else.

Because i believe even when i am going to have my second kid,

its going to be a totally different experience.

So as i was going thru the photos taken thus far,

i felt that it is most apt to do a mini record book of the progress of Justin thus far..

Day 1: Welcome to the World, little precious!

1 week old

2 weeks old

1 month old

2 months old

3 months old

4 months old – where we shaved off his baby hair for the very first time.

5 months old

And his first milestone..learning to flip successfully on his own with ease.

And Baby justin was dedicated to the Lord when he was 23 weeks old, and prayed for by Pastor Kong  

At 6 months old, he started his first solid food. See how happy he was  

At 7 months, he started crawling… all over the place!!

At 8 months, his first 2 white pearlies came out… and his looks started to evolve already.

And this was also another mini-milestone for him… where he started to hold on to objects and try to stand up on his old… for like.. er… 10 secs.. haha

At 9 months, he was finally able to sit up on his own, unassisted.

At 11 months

And baby turns 1 year old!! And he now has 4 white pearlies!

At 13 months ~Getting more and more cheeky now! Aiyoh

At 14 months.

This was one of the hardest and heartpain month, because Justin fell very sick the whole month,

And he was diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease.

It was definitely a period of testing and trial for the whole family.

And i will always remember the night where i almost lost him. So scary even up till today when i think about it.

But thank God for his healing and hands upon Justin.

He is now almost 95% healed and apart from the regular checkups, life is back to normal.

 

But I have a strong boy. He got up on his feet soon after, and now, full of energy every single day!

At 15 months

And his new found interest~ The guitar !!

Another milestone for Justin at 16 months~ He took his first step and started walking freely on his own.

And ya, that was the beginning of our extremely busy period…

cos now, his fave activity is to walk and walk and walk!!

Now, he is 17 months.

He is definitely a lot more expressive.

and naughty to the max!

He now can understand almost all the things that we tell him,

things that he can do and cannot do.

Of cos, like evey other kid, he will choose to obey or not to obey.

So the dilemna of most parents: when should i start to cane my child?

And i must say, Justin is so naughty now that i have to take out my cane

almost every other day. Haven whack on him yet.. but so far, i think it

still works whenever i take it out and he will immediately back off from whatever he is doing.

And Interestingly, at 17 months, he can actually say quite a number of words already:

Daddy

Mummy

Ah – Yee! !!!! (and he always call Elyna with greatest energy, i wonder why???)

Ma-ma (calling my mother in law)

Po-po (calling my mother)

Car

Bubble

Ball

Eat

Cheese

Gui-tar

I-pad

Book

Kor-kor

Baby

Star

Ah-ney (supposed to be Barney)

Mum-mum (to eat)

Nien nien (milk)

Bom bom (to bath)

Book

and many other words are represented by the yi-yi-ah-ah….. 

I think its time i start to plan for his next stage of learning…. to put him in a childcare or nursery…..

sometimes, i really wish my son doesn’t grow up so fast, cos i want to enjoy him more…. thats always the dilemna of a working mum i guess.

 

 

Going to the Zoo!

 

Seriously, cannot remember when was the last time i step into the Singapore Zoo.

And many of my colleagues are even surprised that I have not brought Justin to the zoo yet. Haha.. ya.. we been planning the zoo excursion for some time, but it has not been fulfilled.

But this coming thursday, my Finance Director decided that we will have another session of team building at the Singapore ZOO!!

Reminds me of the song…

Frankly speaking, my FD has really been organising several events, and we can all see her efforts to bring this new team of people closer since most of us are newbies to the Company.

Since i joined, so far, the places that we have been to or going soon:

1) Sentosa Skyride and Luge

2) Dinner at the MBS skypark

3) Sentosa mUsical fountain

4) Forest adventure at Bedok

5) Zoo

 

Quite an interesting Finance team. Probably because most of us are younger too… as compared to the previous batch of people.

So the energy level is definitely there.

I hope the next FD coming onboard next year 2H will be as good, or if not, better. *Fingers crossed*

CHC family worship service

We have our very first Family Worship English Service at our promised Land – Suntec City Convention Center this weekend.

Its such a colorful weekend in church!

Tryin to get Justin to focus at the camera, is a great mission itself.

 

Getting ready to run away!!

Really a very heart warming service.. seeing the young and old praise and worship God together in the same location.

For me, it has been a long time since i am able to join the main congregation for praise and worship.

Simply miss the feeling and presence so much. Awesome!! (even though by worship time, Justin was already fidgeting and starting to get restless).

Back to school

After a break of 6 months, i am finally going back to finish up my driving lessons!

By hook or by crook, I must get my license this year! =X

Another round

Just finished the most important presentation for the year last week.

Yesterday, my FD came by and told me, to get ready another presentation,

to present to the team during the tax workshop in Korea in May.

天啊。。。。 救命啊！！

Though this time round its not to the financial leadership team,

but still, i seriously don’t think that i have overcome my public speaking fear.

And presentation is never something i enjoy….. *double sigh**

But on a happy note, i was just thinking, is this an indirect way to tell me that i have passed

my probation period that is supposed to end in March 11?

Six months is finally coming to an end in this new company, and frankly speaking,

sometimes, i do feel that i have been here much longer than that.

But it definitely has been a much rewarding 5 months so far,

because i have been given much opportunities and exposure to lots.

looking forward to more exciting things in the next 9 months of 2011. WOOT!
